5 Simple Steps To Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone
Getting out of a comfort zone is never easy, but often necessary. Unless you take a huge risk, you cannot hope for a huge reward. Until you push your limits and challenge yourself, you cannot discover your real potential. This is exactly where getting out of comfort zone helps. Here are some easy ways that will help you do the same.
1. Think big
Every action starts with a thought. If you think small, you achieve little. Think big, expand your own mind’s perception and range, and see the difference. The mind is a very powerful tool, use it well!
2. Remind yourself, it is okay to be uncomfortable
When you are not in your comfort zone, you will feel awkward, and it is normal. Remember the first time you had to ride a bike, it was weird and odd but you got over it, and had so much fun. It is completely alright to feel like a fool while trying.
3. Believe
Until and unless you have a very strong belief that you actually can perform well even when everything is not cozy and easy, you can never get out of your comfort zone. Fake it till you make it. Keep giving a positive feedback to yourself that you actually have a lot of potential hidden inside of you.
4. Just do it
It is good to think about decisions, but too much of introspection can hamper your determination. Think a little, decide, believe, and just do it, just like you managed that dance class or the gym with your tight schedule. Sure, it wasn’t easy, but you did it. If you can do it once, you can do it again.
5. Act drunk
Act as if you are bold and brave and are not afraid of consequences, like you do when you are drunk. If you act it well, transitioning out of your comfort zone would be a cakewalk as you would do whatever it is that you want to do without any fear.
6. Beat the limits
If you have put a constraint on your own self, or on your own ability, let it go, and you will be able to surpass it. It would require a lot of effort, but you are more capable of much more than what you think.
Once you are out of your comfort zone, you achieve, you succeed, and you actually enjoy the ride!
